The Training Hall, experience items, resetting bonuses with the Potion of Oblivion, XP from boss and event battles (Black Titan, Hades Vanguard, Barbarian Invasion) and transferring a hero to another kingdom.
Training Hall: timed training
The Training Hall is the building where you send heroes who are not on expeditions to train and earn XP.
- Tap Train on an idle hero.
- Choose a duration.
- Pay the gold up front.
- When the time is up, the hero receives the XP in one go and returns to idle duty.
The training time keeps running while the game is closed. You can cancel training, but then no XP is given.
Formulas
- Gold cost = duration (seconds) × 0.5
- XP reward = duration (seconds) × Training Hall level × 0.15
The same duration gives more XP at a higher-level Training Hall. Longer durations unlock at certain Training Hall levels.
| Duration | Required Training Hall | Gold | XP (at the required level) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 minutes | 1 | 450 | 135 |
| 30 minutes | 2 | 900 | 540 |
| 1 hour | 3 | 1,800 | 1,620 |
| 3 hours | 4 | 5,400 | 6,480 |
| 6 hours | 5 | 10,800 | 16,200 |
| 12 hours | 6 | 21,600 | 38,880 |
| 24 hours | 7 | 43,200 | 90,720 |
| 3 days | 8 | 129,600 | 311,040 |
Example: At Training Hall Lv10, a 1-hour training costs 1,800 gold and gives 3,600 × 10 × 0.15 = 5,400 XP.
Training slots
The number of heroes that can train at the same time:
slots = 2 + (Training Hall level ÷ 5)
| Training Hall | Slots |
|---|---|
| 1–4 | 2 |
| 5–9 | 3 |
| 10–14 | 4 |
| 15–19 | 5 |
While the slots are full, the Train button is disabled. The screen header shows "Slots: n/m".
💡 Tip: Before you go to sleep or leave the game, send your idle heroes on a long training. Otherwise they earn no XP for hours.
Experience items
When you use an experience item from your bag, you choose a hero and the XP is added directly to it. Heroes on expeditions cannot be selected.
| Item | XP | Where from? |
|---|---|---|
| 🎖️ Small Experience | 10 | Camp victories |
| 🎖️ Experience Pack | 100 | Camp victories |
| 🗡️ Training Sword | 200 | Rewards, drops |
| 📖 War Journal | 1,500 | Rewards, drops |
| 🎖️ Victory Medal | 10,000 | Drops, shop |
| 📜 Heroic Saga | 60,000 | Drops, shop |
On camp victories, the XP calculated from the camp level also drops into your bag as packs of 100 and 10. You can use these packs, for example, to raise a new hero that does not go on expeditions.
💡 Tip: Don't use big XP items on a hero close to its cap. A hero at the cap does not store XP; prestige first.
Potion of Oblivion 🧪
The Potion of Oblivion (legendary item, 1,500 gems in the shop) resets one bonus slot of a hero:
- The bonus you choose is completely removed from the hero and the slot is freed.
- All skill points spent on that bonus (including the tiered cost) come back. For example, a bonus you raised to Lv10 returns 15 points.
- The signature bonus and the hero's own special bonus cannot be reset.
- One potion resets one slot. The hero must be in the city (a hero on an expedition cannot be selected).
It is in the Hero tab of your bag: tap the potion, then choose the hero and the bonus to reset.
💡 Tip: If a hero's role has changed (e.g. you are turning a gatherer into a commander), reset its gathering skills with the potion and invest the points in combat skills.
XP from boss damage
Damage dealt to big targets on the map earns the attacking heroes XP proportional to the damage:
| Target | Hero XP |
|---|---|
| 🐉 Dragon Lair | damage ÷ 100 |
| 🏰 Ancient Fortress (Guild Fortress) | damage ÷ 100 |
| 🔥 Hades' Fortress | damage ÷ 100 |
| 🌑 Black Titan (world event) | damage ÷ 100 |
| 🐲 Guild Titan | damage × 0.002 (damage ÷ 500) |
Example: You dealt 137,100 damage to a dragon lair. Your hero earns 1,371 XP.
At the Dragon Lair, Guild Titan and Black Titan, your soldiers do not die, they are wounded (if the hospital overflows, the overflow dies). That makes these targets a good way to level up heroes without risking your army. At the Ancient Fortress and Hades, however, part of the losses are deaths.
Battles that give XP with the PvP formula
In some battles, XP is not based on damage but on the units you make the enemy lose, just like in PvP:
XP = units lost by the enemy × 0.4, ×1.5 on a victory
This formula applies in these battles:
- 🔥 Hades Vanguard stages
- 🪓 Barbarian Invasion event
The global "Hero XP" bonus increases these too.
Transferring a hero to another kingdom
Your account is shared across all kingdoms. You can take a strong hero to a new kingdom and get a good start there.
Requirements
- Your castle level must be at least 50 in the kingdom where the hero is.
- The hero must be idle (not on an expedition, in training or on defense).
- Your global level must be at least 25. Global level is your account level, earned from your spending in all kingdoms.
- There must be a free spot in the global hero pool.
- The transfer costs 1,000 gems.
Pool spots
A transferred hero waits in the global pool until it is claimed in another kingdom, and it takes up a spot:
spots = 1 + (global level − 25) ÷ 25
| Global level | Pool spots |
|---|---|
| 25–49 | 1 |
| 50–74 | 2 |
| 75–99 | 3 |
| 100 | 4 |
How to do it
- On the Army screen, tap the 🌐 transfer button on the hero card.
- If a requirement is missing, the game shows the reason. If all requirements are met, a confirmation window opens showing the cost and how full the pool is.
- When you confirm, the hero leaves this kingdom and enters the pool.
- When you switch to the other kingdom, claim your hero from the Pending Transfers section at the top of the hero panel. Once you claim it, its spot in the pool is freed.
Members of the guild that defeats Hades' Fortress earn 1 free transfer as a reward. This right skips the level, pool spot and gem requirements.
💡 Tip: The hero's level, crowns, stars and the skills you invested in are kept in the transfer. Choose the hero that will help you most in the new kingdom; usually that is a high-crown attack commander.
