🎒 Bag and Items
Item types and grades, fixed resource packs, troop packs, speedups and the auto plan, VIP items, the Name Change Decree, the Potion of Oblivion, the Kingdom Migration Edict, where items drop, gift mails and boss loot.
The items you win from battles, marches and chests collect in your Bag. You open the Bag with the 🎒 button on the right of the City screen. The Bag is shared by all your cities in the kingdom: whichever city you open it from, you see the same items.
Grades
Every item has a grade. The frame color in the Bag shows the grade:
| Grade | Color |
|---|---|
| Common | ⬜ |
| Good | 🟩 |
| Rare | 🟦 |
| Epic | 🟪 |
| Legendary | 🟨 |
Item types
Resource packs
Give resources instantly when opened. There are three sizes for food, wood, stone, iron and gold. The amounts are fixed; they don't depend on your castle level:
| Size | Grade | Amount | Gold pack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | Common | 10,000 | 2,500 |
| Medium | Good | 60,000 | 15,000 |
| Large | Rare | 300,000 | 75,000 |
There are also science packs: Small 200 (Rare), Medium 1,000 (Epic), Large 5,000 (Legendary) science.
Troop packs
When opened, troops of that unit join your army directly. There are seven sizes for Swordsmen, Spearmen, Archers, Cavalry and Siege Weapons: 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 troops. The bigger the size, the higher the grade (10–25 Common … 1,000 Legendary). There are no paladin or dragon packs.
Gem pouches
Small gives 25, Medium 150, Large 750 gems. The gems are added to the wallet of the kingdom where you open the pouch (gems are kingdom-specific). You can open at most 15,000 gems' worth of pouches at once. For more, open the pouches in several goes.
Speedups
Speedups instantly cut time from the queue you choose. There are five types:
| Type | Queue it's used on |
|---|---|
| 🏗️ Construction | Construction only |
| 📜 Technology | Research only |
| 🎖️ Training | Troop training only |
| 🏥 Healing | Healing and repair only |
| ⏱️ General | Any of the four, your choice |
Durations range from 1 minute to 7 days: 1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 h, 3 h, 8 h, 12 h, 24 h and 7 days. A speedup can't be used if the queue is empty, so it never goes to waste. For training and healing, the time is split evenly across the units in the queue.
⚡ Auto use: The speedup window suggests a combination of the speedups in your bag that wastes the least time to finish the job. It uses queue-specific speedups first and only touches general speedups if the specific ones aren't enough. If the remaining time drops below the free finish limit (5 minutes for construction at VIP 4 and for research at VIP 6), the job also finishes for free.
Direct speedup: While a castle, wall or tower upgrade is in progress, a ⚡ time button appears on the castle/wall/tower pages of the Army screen and on the castle card of the Buildings screen. A speedup opened from there is applied directly to that job; you don't need to go to the Buildings screen and look for it in the queue.
Bags
Opening one gives a random reward:
- 📦 Bronze Bag: a small resource pack or 5-minute speedups
- 🎁 Silver Bag: a medium pack, a 1-hour speedup, a production boost or a small gem pouch
- 🧰 Gold Bag: a large pack, an 8-hour speedup, a shield, a combat boost or a medium gem pouch
Boosts
| Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| 🏭 8 h / 24 h Production | Passive production ×2.5 |
| 🥁 War Drum | Attack +25% for 8 hours |
| 🏰 Wall Watch | City defense +25% for 8 hours |
| 🕵️ Espionage (1–24 h) | Espionage score ×2 (both when sending and when defending) |
| 🕶️ Spy Shield | All spying on your city fails for 24 hours |
Shields
8-hour and 24-hour shields prevent marches against your city for that duration. Shields can be stacked, but total protection can't exceed 7 days (168 hours). A shield that doesn't fit isn't applied at all and stays in your bag.
If you attack someone, your shield drops.
Hero experience
When using one, you pick a hero. A hero on a march can't be selected.
| Item | XP |
|---|---|
| Small Experience | 10 |
| Experience Pack | 100 |
| Training Sword | 200 |
| War Journal | 1,500 |
| Victory Medal | 10,000 |
| Heroic Saga | 60,000 |
City teleport
- 🌀 Random Teleport: Moves your city to a random spot on the map.
- 🎯 Targeted Teleport: Moves your city to the coordinate you choose, or the nearest free spot there.
You can't teleport while your army is on the road.
Inn chests 🥉🥈🥇
Bronze, Silver and Gold Chest items are opened in Heroes ▸ Chests; they can't be used directly from the bag (they sit in the Hero tab of the bag). When opening chests at the Inn, the order is:
- Your daily free opens for the day are used first.
- When those run out, a chest item from your bag is spent.
- If you have no item either, silver and gold chests can be opened with gems.
Daily opens refresh every day and depend on your Inn level:
| Chest | Inn to unlock | Daily opens |
|---|---|---|
| 🥉 Bronze | Lv1 | Equal to your Inn level |
| 🥈 Silver | Lv3 | 1 at Lv5, then +1 every 3 levels (2 at Lv8, 3 at Lv11…) |
| 🥇 Gold | Lv5 | 1 at Lv10, then +1 every 5 levels (2 at Lv15…) |
Chest items can drop from camp and PvP victories; the higher the source's level, the more valuable the chest (bronze is Good, silver Rare, gold Epic grade). Inn chests themselves don't drop chest items.
Hero statues 🗿
Hero statues are bag items too (in the Hero tab of the bag). Each statue belongs to a hero and is spent to raise that hero's stars (Army ▸ Hero). If a chest gives you a hero you already own, it turns into a statue. Like the bag, statues are shared by all your cities in the kingdom.
Kingdom Migration Edict 📜
A Legendary item bought in the shop for 3,000 gems. It moves all your account's progress in this kingdom (cities, army, heroes, resources, bag) to another kingdom you haven't entered before. No copy is made: your whole record in the old kingdom moves to the new one. You open it from the Other tab of the bag, pick the target kingdom and confirm.
In the new kingdom your city settles in an empty spot and you get a 72-hour shield.
Rules:
- You can't migrate to the Prize Kingdom, and you can't migrate out of a prize kingdom either.
- You can never migrate again out of a kingdom you entered by migration.
- You can never return to a kingdom you left by migration.
- You must have no previous record in the target kingdom and must meet the kingdom's entry requirements.
- If Hades has risen and its 1st stage has been cleared (or Hades has been defeated), you can't leave that kingdom or migrate into it.
- You must have no armies outside: armies on marches, gathering, in rallies and unclaimed returns must come back to your city first.
- You must meet the conditions for leaving your guild (for example, no open bank loan). You automatically leave your guild when you migrate.
💡 Tip: If you want to move to another kingdom for good, the Migration Edict is the only way to keep your progress. Leaving a kingdom (Getting Started) leaves your progress behind.
VIP items 👑
When opened, they're added to that kingdom's VIP points: VIP Badge +5, Emblem +10, Medal +25, Charter +50, Crown +100, Dynasty Seal +500. The Badge and Emblem can drop from camp victories; the chance grows with camp level (0.1% at Lv10, 0.5% at Lv50, 1% at Lv100). For details see the VIP and Global Level page.
Name Change Decree ✒️
A Rare item sold in the shop for 100 gems. Changing your display name the first time is free; every change after that uses one decree. You start every new kingdom with 1 decree in your bag. It can't be used directly from the bag: it's spent when you change your name in Profile ▸ Display name.
Potion of Oblivion 🧪
A Legendary item sold in the shop for 1,500 gems. It resets one bonus slot of the hero you choose: the slot is emptied and all skill points you spent on that trait come back. The hero's signature bonus and own special bonus aren't reset. Use it when you want to change a hero's skill build.
Other items
- 👷 Builder (8 h / 24 h / 3 days): +1 simultaneous construction for the duration.
- 🗒️ Pool fillers: Add 15 min or 2 hours to the construction or research bonus pool. Any amount over the cap is lost.
- 👥 Population packs: Give 1,000 to 50,000 population (up to housing capacity).
- ⚡ Energy packs: Give 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 energy (up to the maximum).
- 🎟️ Ad Ticket: Lets you claim an ad reward in the Shop without watching.
- 🌍 Nation Charter: Changes your nation while keeping your progress.
- 🥚 Dragon Egg: Can't be used directly. Each dragon you train uses one egg. Drops from attacks on dragon lairs on the map. Your chance grows with the damage you deal, but is at most 2%.
Where do items drop?
| Source | Drop chance | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Inn chest | 35% (when no hero comes out) | General pool |
| Camp victory | 25% + camp level × 2% (max 70%) | Plus a guaranteed resource pack, XP pack and speedup reward |
| PvP victory | 30% + defender's castle level × 2% (max 75%) | General pool |
| Gathering march | 15% + node level × 1% (max 45%) | Separate economy pool, at most Rare |
Level sets the grade
For camp, PvP and Inn drops, the share of better grades grows as the source's level rises. This shift is complete at Lv20:
| Grade | Around Lv1 | Lv20 and above |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 50% | 15% |
| Good | 30% | 32% |
| Rare | 15% | 30% |
| Epic | ~5% | ~20% |
| Legendary | 0.5% | 2.5% |
Guaranteed rewards from camp victories
On every camp victory, on top of the chance drop, you get:
- Resource pack: a small pack if the camp is below Lv10, medium below Lv20, large above that. 2 of them at Lv25 and above.
- Hero XP packs: Total XP is camp level × 10. From Lv20, the multiplier grows by +0.5 every 10 levels. The reward drops into your bag as 100 and 10 XP packs.
- Speedups: On every victory at Lv20+ camps, and below that with a 40% + camp level × 3% chance. The types are construction (50%), technology (30%) and training (20%). The total time is roughly camp level × 0.4 minutes (Lv10 ≈ 4 min, Lv50 ≈ 20 min) and mostly comes in small 1–30 minute pieces. A rare roll can also give a single big speedup: 1-hour 4% (Lv20+), 3-hour 1% (Lv30+), 8-hour 0.25% (Lv40+).
- Daily cap: Speedup time from camps has a daily limit: 2 hours + the level of the camp you hit × 1 hour (12 hours at a Lv10 camp, 52 hours at Lv50). Anything over the cap isn't given; the more high-level camps you hit, the bigger your cap.
- VIP points: A small chance, growing with camp level, of a VIP Badge (+5) or Emblem (+10).
Gathering march
Gathering drops are economy-focused and at most Rare. On a Lv1 node the distribution is 60% Common, 32% Good, 8% Rare. At Lv20 and above it becomes 35% / 40% / 25%. Resource packs come from the resource you gathered. Shields, teleports, combat boosts, gems, bags or long speedups don't drop from gathering.
Reward and gift mails
Rewards such as compensation, events and starter packs arrive as reward mails in the Mail ▸ System tab. When you open the mail and tap "Claim Rewards", the resources, gems, items and any heroes are added to your account; items drop into your bag. A reward mail can only be claimed once.
The game also sends gift mails on its own at certain moments: when your castle reaches Lv5, 10, 15 … 50 or your most populous city reaches 100K, 250K, 500K and 1 million population, a pack full of speedups and packs of every resource arrives; and when you suffer heavy losses defending your city, a casualty pack. For details and pack contents, see the Mail page.
Boss loot
When you attack the big targets on the map (Dragon Lair, Ancient Fortress and Hades) and deal damage, you earn:
- Resource loot: resources equal to one percent of the damage you dealt, split evenly across five resources. The amount is limited by your army's carry capacity. At Hades the loot is doubled.
- Hero XP: The damage you dealt ÷ 100.
- Items:
- Dragon Lair and Ancient Fortress: a 25% chance of a Rare item.
- Hades: a 50% chance of an item, mostly Epic, with a 20% chance of Legendary.
All members of the guild that destroys a dragon lair also get a big reward pack: gold bags, 24-hour speedups, a gem pouch and a builder.
💡 Tip: Save valuable items (24-hour speedups, shields) for emergencies. Use resource packs to top up the resources you're missing for a castle upgrade.
