🏕️ Expeditions and Camps

Enemy camps, combined attacks, VIP camp conveniences (Quick Deploy, Quick Attack, Bulk Attack), XP packs, speedup rewards, camp milestones, the expedition limit, command capacity, gathering and travel time.

Enemy camps

The camp region of the map holds the camps of three enemy factions: Goblins, Orcs and Barbarians. Each camp has a level. As the level rises:

  • The garrison grows ×1.2 per level.
  • Loot also grows ×1.2 per level.
  • At higher levels, the faction's elite units (their equivalents of paladins and dragons) join the garrison.

When you defeat a camp's highest level, the camp immediately rises one level and is ready with a new garrison. In camp battles your soldiers do not die; losses go to the hospital as wounded.

Target level selector

With the [−] Lv N [+] buttons on the camp screen, you can attack a lower level. A victory at a lower level does not upgrade the camp. So if you are stuck at a level you cannot beat, you can hit the level below again and again to collect loot and XP.

Energy

Camp attacks cost energy:

  • Single army: 4 energy
  • Combined attack: number of armies × 4 × 1.5 (2 armies = 12, 3 armies = 18 energy)

Base energy is 100 and refills 1 every 5 minutes. Technologies increase the maximum and the refill speed. Gathering expeditions cost no energy.

Combined attack

If you cannot beat a strong camp with a single army, you can deploy 2–3 of your armies (each with its own hero) to the camp region and attack together. The base limit is 2 armies; the Combined Command technology raises this limit. Deployed armies wait in the region until you withdraw them.

VIP camp conveniences

VIPFeatureWhat does it do?
VIP 3🏕️ Quick DeployPlaces your strongest idle heroes with your strongest units in the camp region, up to the deployment limit.
VIP 5⚡ Quick Camp AttackYour strongest army attacks the camp selected on screen, at that camp's selected level. If an army is already attacking the selected camp or the camp is respawning, it warns you. The remaining deployed armies go to other free camps; if there is no free camp, they wait in line and attack once a camp frees up.
VIP 11📋 Bulk AttackYou choose your deployed armies, the camps to attack (in order), each camp's target level and the total number of attacks (1–200). Armies can attack separately or as one combined army. A returning army goes on to the next camp as long as you have energy; this continues until the plan is done or no armies are left.

A Bulk Attack plan continues where it left off even after you close and reopen the game, but attacks are only made while the game is open. The camp card shows the progress (e.g. 12/50) and the reason for waiting (energy, army returning…); you end the plan with ⏹ Stop. For VIP, see VIP and Global Level.

Camp XP and XP packs

Each victory sets an amount of XP based on the camp's level:

  • Base: camp level × 10
  • From level 20 on, it rises by +0.5× every 10 levels
  • Rounded to a multiple of 10
Camp levelXP
10100
20300
25380
30600

You earn this amount in two ways:

  1. Hero XP: the commander leading the army receives the full amount. It is the same for a single attack and a combined attack; it is not split. The other heroes in a combined attack receive 70% of the commander's XP.
  2. XP packs: the same amount also drops into your bag as 100 and 10 experience packs. You can give these to any hero you like.

Example: You beat a Lv20 camp with 3 armies. The commander gets 300 XP, the other two heroes get 210 XP each; and 3 packs of 100 drop into your bag.

Camp loot

On a victory you take the camp's loot; loot technologies increase it. If you are in a guild, an extra amount equal to 8% of your loot goes to the guild treasury. This share is not deducted from your loot; it is added on top. Victories can also drop items by chance.

Speedup reward

Camp victories also earn small speedups: construction (50%), technology (30%) or training (20%) speedups.

  • Chance: 43% at Lv1, +3% per level; guaranteed on every victory at Lv20 and above.
  • Total time grows with camp level: roughly level × 0.4 minutes (Lv10 ≈ 4 min, Lv30 ≈ 12 min, Lv50 ≈ 20 min), in small pieces (1, 5, 15, 30 minutes). From Lv30 the smallest piece is 5 min, and from Lv40 it is 15 min.
  • Rare large speedup (at most one per victory): 1 hour 4% (Lv20+), 3 hours 1% (Lv30+), 8 hours 0.25% (Lv40+).
  • Daily limit: the total speedup time you can get from camps in a day is 2 hours + the level of the camp you hit × 1 hour (Lv10 camp 12 h, Lv30 camp 32 h, Lv50 camp 52 h). Anything above the limit is not given. Hitting high-level camps brings both more rewards and a higher limit.

Camp milestones 🏕️

The first time you take a camp to 25, 50, 75, 100 and every 25th level after that, you get two rewards at once (each tier once per kingdom):

  • For you: a personal reward in Mail ▸ System.
  • For everyone in your guild: a shared reward in the guild ▸ Rewards tab (must be claimed within 72 hours).

Concurrent expedition limit

The number of armies that can be out of your city at the same time is limited. It starts at 1; each level of the Expedition Camp technology adds +1 (up to 6).

All armies outside count toward this limit: gathering expeditions, armies deployed to the camp region and camp expeditions, PvP expeditions, army transfers between cities, guild gathering expeditions, rallies you have joined and reinforcement armies you sent to a guild mate. If the limit is full, the warning "Expedition limit reached (X/Y)" appears and you cannot send a new expedition until an army returns. Spies do not count toward this limit.

Command capacity

Every army sets out with a hero, and a hero can only lead a certain number of units:

capacity = (hero level × 100 + building and technology bonuses + the hero's own bonus) × city technology percentage × guild technology percentage

The city and guild technology percentages are multiplied separately. For example, with a base capacity of 1,000, +50% from city technology and +70% from guild technology, capacity is 1,000 × 1.5 × 1.7 = 2,550.

💡 Tip: If you do not pick a commander yourself in the army picker, the account assistant automatically picks the most suitable idle hero: in battle, the one with the highest command capacity and attack bonus; in gathering, the one with the highest gathering speed and carry bonus.

Gathering expeditions

You can gather resources by sending armies to the gathering fields in the camp region. These expeditions cost no energy.

  • Field capacity: Lv1 = 10,000, +5,000 per level. Exploration technologies multiply this.
  • Base gathering speed (per second): food 16, wood 10, stone 6, iron 4, gold 3.
  • Gathering speed does not depend on the size of the army. Speed is set by the hero's power, the Plunder Master skill and technologies.
  • The army only sets the carry capacity. More soldiers carry more but do not gather faster.

Gathering also gives your hero XP, and items can drop by chance on return. With VIP 8, ⚡ Send All sends armies to all free fields with one tap; details on the Gathering Fields page.

Travel time and march speed

An army marches at the speed of its slowest unit.

ExpeditionOne-way time (Swordsman, speed 1.0)
Camp expedition10 sec
Deploying to the camp region15 sec
PvP expedition45 sec + distance × 4 sec
Dragon Lair15 sec + distance × 4 sec
Hades (rally and vanguard expedition)Independent of distance 75 sec (an army with siege and no bonuses: 150 sec)

The distance part is divided by the army's speed. The fixed 45 seconds in PvP gives the defender time to prepare and does not depend on speed. For example, a cavalry army (speed 1.6) reaches a city 50 units away in 45 + 200 / 1.6 = 170 sec; add one siege weapon to the same army (speed 0.5) and the time becomes 45 + 400 = 445 sec. March speed technologies and the speed settings of some kingdoms shorten the time further.
